Cindy Vortex

Cindy, full name Cynthia Aurora Vortex, is Jimmy’s biggest rival. She has a strange fear of mimes, but is otherwise skilled in science (second only to Jimmy), the arts and humanities, Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, and she has a mean right hook! She is street-wise, sassy-mouthed and fully able to defend herself and everyone else close by. Libby is her best friend and her voice is played by Carolyn Lawrence.

On many occasions Cindy and Jimmy end up dropping their rivalry and admit they have crushes on each other, but then quickly deny them. They are not supposed to be old enough to like the opposite sex yet. At the same time, Cindy regularly calls Jimmy names (e.g. Nerdtron) and plays pranks on him (e.g. ink sprayed on his face in class) because she’s jealous that he took her number one, genius place at Lindbergh Elementary.
